Program
This project consisted of three major components:
South High School Addition
This portion of the project was to add general classrooms and classrooms for specific vocational type studies.
A few notable spaces include the Agricultural yard, Earth Science yard and maintaining the Art room yard although
it was in the center of the addition project. Other important design elements include natural light in the classrooms
and corridors and the blending from existing to new construction. A special needs area was programmed into this space
as well as relocating the campus technology center.
North High School Addition
This portion of the project was to add a wrestling room and coaches office directly off the weight room and gymnasium.
Security Center
Placed at the main campus entry with a view of each school, this building has an office, small kitchen, restroom with
shower, large conference area and covered greeting area.
Each of these buildings were designed with a structural first floor due to their unique soils conditions. Explicit
detail was paid to the Expansion and contraction details, so the living building does not break itself apart due to
their unique weather/soils conditions.
