Greenbrier Elementary was an existing "portable" elementary campus, which remained in use
during the construction period. Phase 1, the "Core" facility, consisted of administration,
art, music, media center, and a divisible multipurpose cafeteria/stage facility. When building
construction was complete, the existing portables, which housed these functions, were relocated to
another campus as needed. The buildings are concrete masonry and metal deck roof. Although the
campus is a prototype design, it features a distinctive masonry block pattern, varying color schemes,
and a unique entry design. The design also incorporated relocation of existing equipment and furnishings.
Phase 2 included two detached classroom buildings and a classroom kindergarten wing, which allowed for
the removal of all remaining portable classrooms and construction of new playfields. Separate
kindergarten and primary play areas and apparatus, along with soccer fields, softball fields, dedicated
bus, parent drop-off and parking areas.
